“Good Thing”
Proverbs 18:22 (KJV)
Whoso findeth a wife findeth a good thing, and obtaineth favour of the LORD.
Proverbs 18: 22 says “he who finds a wife” this is a very good place to start.Ladies, you have to be a wife before he
meets you. What I mean is you have to have the heart to be a “good thing” to the man God has sent to you. I know sometimes this is a very hard and daunting job but, it is a reality that you have to learn how to be a “good thing” in your relationship. Let’s face it there are days when you don’t feel like loving, cleaning or even being nice. But, a woman must have zeal to please her husband.
Proverbs 31: 10-31 is our instruction of a woman with “Nobel Character”. You should be willing to take care of the family, invest, and take care of yourself and your husband’s needs. But most of all, because of your hard work your husband will look good before the Elders. You become his “good thing” when you put forth the effort to be his help meat in everything. Remember that the scripture says his “favor” with God is connected to finding you and treating you with love, honor and respect! Don’t let the enemy in your home because you don’t know who and who’s you are. You are a vibrant, beautiful, intelligent, smart and loving woman who will win your husband by your behavior, diligence, and conversation but first and foremost because of your love and fear of God .
Ladies, God is looking for us to become the “GOOD THING” he created us to be. Get in your place in the relationship and watch God start blessing your home with love and respect.
Ehpesians 5: 21-33 Instructions for Christian Households
Submit to one another out of reverence for Christ.
Wives, submit yourselves to your own husbands as you do to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior. Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything.
Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word, and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless. In this same way, husbands ought to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. After all, no one ever hated their own body, but they feed and care for their body, just as Christ does the church— for we are members of his body.
“For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh.” This is a profound mystery—but I am talking about Christ and the church. However, each one of you also must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband.
Ephesians 5 is the instruction for order in the home. If you don’t know who you are……than submission to God’s order will be very hard for you. You are the reason he (your husband) has favor with God…….remember that!
Ephesians 1:18 NIRV “I also pray that your mind might see more clearly. Then you will know the hope God has chosen you to receive. You will know that the things God's people will receive are rich and glorious.”
